The Conflicts & Intake Specialist is responsible for reviewing new business intake forms, identifying conflicts, verifying information, conducting research, and communicating with firm personnel to ensure accurate conflict clearance. This role also involves maintaining internal conflict databases and properly documenting legal and business conflicts. Key responsibilities include conducting first-level conflict analyses, facilitating client and matter onboarding by performing risk checks, and ensuring compliance with legal and commercial confidentiality regulations. The specialist will also assist with maintaining databases, reviewing engagement letters, and participating in compliance and professional responsibility initiatives. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines are essential.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least one to two years of experience in a conflicts department, preferably within a law firm setting. Familiarity with Intapp and Aderant is preferred, along with a solid understanding of corporate structures and professional conduct rules. The role requires excellent research, communication, and problem-solving skills. While the position is primarily office-based with extended periods of computer use, occasional overtime may be necessary. Compensation ranges from $60,000 to $75,000 annually, with a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, and paid leave.
