The Real Estate Paralegal (Legal Specialist) supports the Real Estate Section, reporting to the Real Estate Paralegal Manager, and is responsible for managing a range of real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, loans, joint ventures, and developments. This role involves reviewing and summarizing title insurance commitments, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, and zoning reports while negotiating diligence materials with title companies, surveyors, and zoning firms. The paralegal drafts documents such as title objections, estoppel certificates, and conveyance agreements and ensures title clearance and transaction deadlines are met. Additional duties include preparing and reviewing lease agreements, coordinating document execution and recording, maintaining post-closing records, and mentoring junior team members.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree, five years of transactional real estate experience, and expertise in title, survey, and zoning review. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. The role demands flexibility, discretion, and the ability to manage competing priorities. It includes a hybrid work arrangement with 60% in-office and 40% remote work. The salary ranges from $80,000 to $120,000, depending on experience, with opportunities for professional development and additional responsibilities as needed.
