Legal Administrative Assistant (Century City)

The Legal Administrative Assistant provides essential secretarial and administrative support to a team of lawyers, ensuring efficient office procedures and workflow while maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and clients. Key responsibilities include coordinating scheduling and travel for court appearances, meetings, and depositions, as well as managing the organization of information through mail sorting, document annotation, and phone communication. This role also involves typing and composing various documents, preparing legal pleadings, and filing in both state and federal courts, ensuring timely correspondence dispatch.

In addition, the assistant maintains both physical and electronic filing systems, enters lawyer time for billing, conducts research to support projects, and creates an up-to-date desk manual for office procedures. To succeed in this role, candidates should possess excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask under pressure. A high school diploma is required, along with prior legal experience, and a bachelor’s degree is preferred. The position is non-exempt, reports to the Director of Administration, offers a salary range of $75,000-$105,500, and allows for a hybrid work environment.
