Senior Collector

Our client is seeking a full-time Senior Collector to join their Finance team in New York, reporting to the Senior Controller/CFO. This role focuses on managing and collecting the Firm’s Accounts Receivable portfolio, requiring strong customer service, decision-making, and communication skills. Key responsibilities include analyzing monthly reconciliation reports, running Accounts Receivable reports, engaging with billing attorneys to strategize collections, and addressing client account balances "at risk."

The Senior Collector will routinely liaise with clients, document collection efforts, assist with cash receipts reconciliation, and maintain accurate records in the Firm's Collection software. Candidates should possess a minimum of a high school diploma, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, alongside 5+ years of collections experience in a law firm environment. Essential skills include strategic thinking, excellent time management, strong communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with state and federal collection laws is also required. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a salary range of $100,000 - $130,000, based on qualifications and experience.
