Real Estate Senior Paralegal OR Paralegal Specialist

The Real Estate Senior Paralegal or Paralegal Specialist provides substantive legal support under a lawyer's supervision, assisting in various real estate transactions. This role involves drafting, analyzing, and preparing legal documents, coordinating legal projects, and summarizing relevant facts and legal concepts for supervising lawyers or paralegals. Responsibilities include preparing and revising real estate closing documents, reviewing due diligence materials, preparing title and survey comments, coordinating with title companies and surveyors, and handling searches related to pending suits, judgments, tax liens, and UCCs. The paralegal will also prepare closing instruction letters, coordinate document signing, and attend closings.

Additional duties involve maintaining accurate time records, meeting billable hour requirements (minimum 1,536 hours per year), and adhering to firm policies and ethical guidelines. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. The paralegal must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion and good judgment.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree or a Paralegal Certification from an ABA-approved program, with experience requirements ranging from 7 to 18 years depending on the job level. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and practice-specific software is essential. The role also requires flexibility in work schedule to meet firm needs during heavy workload periods.
