Our client is seeking a Healthcare Litigation Attorney with at least 4 years of experience in healthcare, commercial litigation, and white-collar defense, ideally with a background as a former NJ Deputy Attorney General or prosecutor for professional boards, such as the Board of Medical Examiners. This role involves representing medical professionals in professional liability, medical malpractice, and employment lawsuits. The responsibilities include drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, motions, and briefs, representing clients in court and arbitration, and providing legal advice. The attorney will manage cases from initiation to resolution and support other business units, including Employment Law and Banking & Financial Services.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of healthcare law, including HIPAA, Anti-Kickback, False Claims Act, and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement issues. A JD from an accredited law school, NJ bar admission (NY preferred), and prior experience in healthcare litigation are required. Candidates with experience in hospital, health system, 340B, pharmacy, or telemedicine law, as well as those with strong communication and negotiation skills, are preferred. This position offers a competitive salary between $170,000 and $210,000, depending on experience.
