The Client Accounting Supervisor is responsible for managing day-to-day billing and collections for a designated portfolio and overseeing an assigned team. This role involves providing leadership, training, and guidance to ensure accurate and efficient client accounting processes. Core duties include supervising staff, coordinating team tasks, monitoring performance, and managing productivity goals. The supervisor reviews and approves timecards, conducts performance evaluations, and escalates collection issues as necessary.
Additionally, the supervisor oversees portfolio management, ensuring compliance with client billing guidelines and firm policies. This includes setting up and maintaining client accounts, managing monthly billing, preparing estimates, and handling escalations for overdue accounts. The role also involves working closely with billing attorneys and other stakeholders to meet client expectations and mitigate financial risks.
The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of legal billing experience, 3 years in a supervisory role, and proficiency in Aderant Expert or similar accounting systems. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential. A Bachelor’s degree is required.
The position offers a salary range of $104,000 to $155,750, depending on experience, education, certifications, and location.
