Legal Assistant

The Firm’s Phoenix office is seeking a skilled and motivated Legal Assistant with strong multitasking abilities and independent working skills. Key responsibilities include providing legal and administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, preparing and proofreading complex legal documents, and managing electronic filings in Federal and State Courts. The assistant will also maintain client files, create documents for pleadings and discovery, handle scheduling and deadline management through the firm’s docketing program, and organize in-house and external depositions. Reception duties and additional administrative tasks as they arise are also part of the role.

Essential qualifications include a high school diploma (college education preferred), 3-10 years of experience in a law firm, and proficiency in State and Federal eFiling systems. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PDF programs such as Adobe are required, along with a strong command of grammar and proofreading. Familiarity with iManage or a similar document management system is necessary. The role aligns with business services competencies like technical excellence, client relationships, service delivery, and personal effectiveness.
