Managing Clerk

The Managing Clerk role involves collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and various practice groups—especially Disputes—on docketing, court filings, and case management tasks. Key duties include providing procedural guidance, executing electronic and hard copy court filings, managing the firm's docketing system, and ensuring attorneys are notified of critical deadlines. The Managing Clerk reviews all filings for compliance, handles service of process, and assists with drafting court documents. They also monitor active cases in multiple court databases (e.g., PACER, Bloomberg Law) and maintain e-filing credentials.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience in a similar role, a bachelor’s degree, and strong knowledge of federal, state, and local court procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. The role requires adaptability, good judgment, and an understanding of client-focused service.

Competencies include personal leadership, relationship-building, collaboration, client enhancement, and results orientation. Hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm or 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, and the salary ranges from $115,000 to $140,000 based on experience.
