Our client’s Conflicts & Intake Department has an opening for a Conflicts Attorney, available in Boston, Chicago, DC, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, or Silicon Valley. This role focuses on identifying and resolving conflicts of interest that arise from new clients, matters, or lateral hires. The Conflicts Attorney will analyze database search results, conduct third-party research, and collaborate with colleagues to resolve conflicts. They also assist attorneys in complying with professional responsibilities, including bar memberships, fiduciary positions, and client intake procedures.
Responsibilities include analyzing conflict search results, guiding attorneys on conflicts reviews, gathering due diligence information, and assisting with drafting conflict waivers and ethics screens. The Conflicts Attorney may also provide professional responsibility training and oversee volunteers or staff.
A J.D. is required, with preexisting bar admission preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in conflicts or relevant areas is preferred, especially in large law firms. Strong research, organizational, and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
The base salary range is $175,000 to $225,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
