Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing outstanding receivables and supporting monthly forecast projections by following up with clients and attorneys. Key duties include electronic billing through various systems, resolving tier 2 rejections, and monitoring client accounts for unpaid balances. The specialist will also prepare monthly statements, proactively contact clients regarding unpaid accounts, and track collections progress until payment is received.

In this role, the specialist resolves payment issues, escalates unresolved cases to management, and provides updates to responsible partners. They will reconcile client accounts, resolve discrepancies, and recommend write-offs when necessary. The role requires strong interaction with clients and other departments to ensure accurate payment and posting.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience), with 3-5 years of accounts receivable/collections experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment. The role demands proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and strong communication, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills. The ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks is essential.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000.
