The Events & Programs Specialist role supports firmwide internal and external events for a growing Business Development & Marketing team at a law firm. Reporting to the Business Development & Marketing Manager, the specialist collaborates with attorneys, staff, and various departments to streamline event planning and build vendor relationships. Responsibilities include coordinating internal training programs, managing continuing legal education (CLE) credit processes, maintaining a firmwide events calendar, and assisting with event logistics. This includes planning internal gatherings, DEI Committee and Pro Bono Committee events, and practice group programs.
For external events, the specialist will help coordinate client events, attorney retreats, and seasonal celebrations. This role leads planning for external diversity initiatives, supports the firm’s charitable partnerships, and manages the full event life cycle from vendor selection to execution. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree, 3-5 years of event experience in law or professional services, and is proficient in MS Office, Teams, and Zoom. CLE tracking system knowledge is a plus. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, multitasking, and effective communication. Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines.
