The Business Analytics Specialist role at a law firm in Los Angeles involves supporting the firm’s financial reporting, analysis, and pricing strategies. The specialist will generate key financial reports, conduct financial analysis, and assist with pricing and budgeting tasks. They will collaborate with various leaders and decision-makers, including Practice Group Leaders and the Executive Committee, to help drive profitable solutions and support strategic initiatives, such as developing the firm’s real-time financial dashboard and profitability models.

Key responsibilities include creating and distributing financial reports, analyzing data for pricing proposals, managing formulaic compensation reporting, and contributing to the development of profitability models. The specialist will also support the annual budget process, provide ad hoc financial analysis, and assist with financial tools and best practices. 

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of financial analysis experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment. A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required, along with expertise in financial modeling, Excel, and SQL or Excel Power Query. Experience with legal financial systems like Aderant is preferred. The salary ranges from $135,000 to $155,000, with a hybrid remote work arrangement available. 

Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are essential.
