The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Manager will manage key initiatives within the firm's Equity Advisory Council (EAC), including overseeing the EAC Academy. Reporting to the Chief DEI Officer, the role involves collaborating with the DEI, Professional Development (PD), and Business Development (BD) teams to advance equity initiatives for attorneys, particularly women, non-binary, LGBTQ+, and attorneys of color.
Key responsibilities include managing the EAC Academy, developing training programs, counseling, coaching, and business development support for enrolled attorneys. The DEI Manager will also handle logistics such as scheduling, maintaining databases, and coordinating meeting agendas. Building trust and creating networks of internal and external stakeholders to support EAC initiatives is crucial. The role also includes managing the EAC budget and ensuring the program’s success by overseeing project deliverables.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree (JD preferred), at least seven years of professional or business development experience (law firm experience preferred), strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, and a deep commitment to DEI principles. The role is based in Boston or New York, requires 60% in-office presence, and offers a salary range of $105,000 to $150,000, with bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
