Conflicts Analyst

Our client is seeking a Conflicts Analyst to join their Conflicts team. This role, available in multiple locations including Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Detroit, Indianapolis, and Minneapolis, is ideal for someone with at least two years of experience in a legal or ethical conflicts department within a mid- to large-sized law firm.

Under the guidance of the Firm’s Conflicts Counsel, the Conflicts Analyst will conduct research and prepare conflicts search reports to identify and resolve potential ethical conflicts related to new business and lateral matters. Duties include defining search strategies, analyzing data, communicating results to attorneys, and performing comprehensive corporate research. The role also involves drafting engagement letters, conflict waivers, and ethical screen memorandums, as well as assisting with the maintenance and reconciliation of the firm’s conflicts database.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with a strong preference for those experienced in using Intapp or similar conflicts software. Knowledge of professional responsibility and legal ethics is required, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, think critically, and work effectively in a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to changes in workflow are essential. Flexibility to work remotely outside normal business hours may be needed.
