Litigation Paralegal

A Litigation Paralegal supports attorneys by performing substantive legal tasks under supervision. The role involves managing case preparation for litigation, including drafting legal documents, organizing evidence, summarizing depositions, and assisting at trial. Paralegals collaborate closely with attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and vendors, coordinating all aspects of the litigation process from initial filings to appeals.

Key responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, and subpoenas, verifying citations, and compiling exhibits for hearings and trials. Paralegals also manage case files, conduct legal research, and assist attorneys in the discovery process, including reviewing and producing documents. This position requires familiarity with court procedures, administrative rules, and electronic filing systems. Paralegals are often responsible for preparing trial binders, handling deposition summaries, and assisting with trial logistics, including witness coordination and document management.

The ideal candidate must possess strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines, and effective communication abilities. Experience with legal research platforms, electronic document management, and court filing systems is essential. A Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience with at least three years of litigation experience, including trial preparation, is required. The ability to work overtime as needed is also necessary for the role.
