The Private Wealth Attorney role is part of an international wealth planning practice, focusing on advising high net worth individuals, family businesses, and family offices. The practice specializes in tax and succession planning, including creating wills, establishing trusts, and managing wealth transfer. The role involves addressing complex taxation issues, providing guidance on fiduciary structures, governance, and succession matters. Candidates should have strong academic credentials, with a JD required and an LLM in tax being advantageous. A minimum of two years of law firm experience, including drafting wills and trusts, is essential. Knowledge of U.S. estate and gift tax, grantor trust rules, and international wealth planning is important.

Familiarity with income and transfer tax rules for non-U.S. residents and U.S. residents with foreign assets is beneficial. Experience with pre-immigration and expatriation planning is a plus. Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities are required. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and Spanish language skills are desirable. Compensation ranges from $175,000 to $220,000, based on experience.
