The Proposal Specialist role involves leading the development of competitive RFP responses and proposals within a law firm's Business Development Department. Reporting to the Proposal Manager, the Specialist oversees the entire proposal process, from kickoff meetings to final document production and delivery. Key tasks include establishing work plans, customizing proposal content, drafting persuasive copy, and ensuring adherence to deadlines and firm guidelines. The role requires strong collaboration with attorneys and staff to gather feedback, and the Specialist is also responsible for maintaining proposal statistics and supporting content repository initiatives.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with at least two years in a professional business environment and one year of business writing experience. The candidate should demonstrate strong communication, time management, and organizational skills, with a focus on attention to detail and client service. Flexibility, the ability to handle stress, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are also essential.
