Information Security Analyst

The Information Security Analyst is part of the Cybersecurity Operations Group, reporting to the Director of Information Security & Assurance. This role focuses on maintaining continuous monitoring of the network environment to detect and respond to malicious activities. Key responsibilities include using cyber defense tools to monitor systems, analyzing malicious activities to identify weaknesses, and assessing the potential impact on systems and information.

The analyst will analyze suspicious emails, monitor threat consoles, and detonate suspicious files and URLs in malware sandboxes for actionable insights. They will also monitor email content filtering appliances, analyze audit logs for policy exceptions, and monitor firewall intrusion detection systems for threats. The role involves event correlation to assess the effectiveness of observed threats or attacks, performing cyber defense trend analysis, and triaging SIEM notables by investigating network logs.

Qualifications include a minimum of three years in an information security or cybersecurity role, knowledge of cyber defense practices and attack techniques, and familiarity with information security policies and best practices. A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred, along with certifications like CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CEH. The position requires U.S. export control compliance, a hybrid workplace model, and offers a salary range of $86,000 to $121,000.
